For any fiber person interested in Linen and Flax.. this is the go to book. Baines is a clear authority on linen and goes into every aspect of the process.. beginning to woven and dyed end. Books today are generally too short, not in depth, and cover only a smattering of what one needs if one is doing actual research on a subject. This book is very very thorough and easy to read. It is well researched and stands the test of time. I have a large number of books on linen and if I had to keep only one.. this would be it. I hope it stays in print a long time. It should be part of every fiber library. It is far and away the best book on the market in this subject area.
